One Fine Day

One Fine Day

"Maggie" is by the stallion Carmargue, out our mare Be Fooled. She was born April of 2021.

Carmarque was sold to Denmark in the holsteiner auction for a record $230,000 and has produced multiple Grand Prix competitors in Europe. Only moved to the states in 2017, he is known for passing on a super canter and great jump. Progeny are often seen in the high jumper classes, with both professional and amateur riders. Both of these qualities are apparent in this filly as well as an outstanding presence and expression.

Be Fooled is a huge moving, daughter of Bergamon. Bergamon had an illustrious dressage career though his breeding was cut short by his early death. Be Fooled, or April, has had success in both eventing and in equitation classes and passes on lots of blood and expression to her filly.

Maggie is a very modern type young horse with good bone and amazing strength across her topline. She already shows a powerful canter with great adjustability. Perhaps her most notable quality is an excellent temperament and good manners. She is registered Holsteiner. At 18 months, Maggie stands over 16 hands tall, and we expect her to mature over 17 hands. Maggie walks nicely, ties, stands for the farrier, and loads on the trailer.

*Unfortunately, as a young foal Maggie suffered a kick to her ribcage that resulted in rib fractures and displacement. She has been thoroughly evaluated by multiple veterinarians who agree that this cosmetic blemish will not affect her career as a performance horse. Additionally, the slight indention in her rib cage should not affect saddle fit as it will not be under the tree.
